Speakers at Agritourism Conference

Area Agritourism Specialists Speak

Missouri Department of Agriculture / Agri Missouri sponsored its first Agritourism Conference at the Four Seasons Lodge, Lake Ozark, Missouri January 16 and 17 with over 150 Agritourism owners and operators gathering from across the state. Area Agritourism specialists who were invited to speak including: Steve and Cindy Frey, Weston Red Barn, Weston, MO.; Carolyn and Buddy Raasch, Gieselle Fest, Carolyn’s Country Cousins, Liberty, MO.; Cliff and Debbie Van Till Farms, Rayville, MO.; and Leroy Shatto, Shatto Milk Company, Osborn, MO. Topics ranged from school tours, to marketing , to providing the culinary experience.

The conference focused on helping Missouri Agritourism destinations, food manufactures, farmers, and producers, by helping them market, give opportunities and promote all products grown, raised or processed in Missouri. AgriMissouri's program helps to assist
destinations through marketing, advertising, promotions and informative seminars.
